Well, there are only 24 hours to go before Croxfest 2011 gets underway. Our new community one-day music festival has been 8 months in the planning, permissions and licences were applied for and granted, sponsors and local bands found and confirmed and we're finally ready to go. The weather forecast is pretty good, the Green is freshly mown and the toilets are in position!
There will be 9 food stalls and a number of concessions offering a variety of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks. Although we will not be selling alcohol, visitors are fine to bring their own, although we do ask that people drink responsibly at this family event.
Vibe FM 107.6, the new community radio station for Watford and the surrounding area, will be at the festival with their Vibe Tribe street team, as well as a couple of DJs helping our very own Master of Ceremonies, Stuart Carter.

We have 10 bands playing a broad spread of music, some performing original songs and others playing favourite covers. There is a superb, purpose built stage and sound system, and we start at midday and go through until 8.00pm. We hope it's going to be a warm and friendly gathering and that you will join us for an enjoyable day on the Green, and with your support (and your feedback please) this will be the first of what we plan will become an annual Croxley Green event, alongside the Revels.
Please visit the website next week as we will be posting photos, reviews and footage of the day.
See you on Saturday!
