Croxfest CIC is a Community Interest Company that facilitates Croxfest. The website is www.croxfest.co.uk and Croxfest CIC is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. 

As part of our activities we collect and hold information of  participants (including commercial arrangements for business purposes), sponsors and  volunteers. This Privacy Policy explains how we use information we collect from you and when you use our site. We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review. This Privacy Policy was last updated on 2 April 2023. 1.  What information do we collect about you?

1.1. Information we collect about you

We may collect information about you (such as your name, address and e-mail address) when you contact us to volunteer, when you complete an entry form to participate, sponsors information and data we process as part of the planning of the events.  You may also contact us by social media links. Some data is considered to be more sensitive (including information that the Croxfest CIC does not require, such as ethnicity, religion etc.) but Croxfest CIC may hold personal data about children under 16, which is regarded as sensitive information. 

We also collect information about Committee members, members of external bodies and persons who we liaise with for administrative purposes.

1.2. Records of website use

Our website server automatically records information that your browser sends whenever you visit a page on our website, such as your IP address; details of the web browser and operating system that you are using; the date and time of your request; the specific page requested and how you arrived at that page (eg, the search term used to find the page or link clicked to access it). This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

We may store information about your use of our site and preferences by using cookies which are stored on your computer’s hard drive. Please note that our advertisers may also use cookies. You may refuse to accept cookies or receive notification when you receive cookies by adjusting your privacy settings in your browser.

We collect information about you to communicate with you for the purposes for which the information was given or inform you about any matters we feel might be of interest to you. Croxfest CIC will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other organisations.

We will not share your information with any third parties without your prior explicit consent unless required to do so to comply with  a legal or regulatory obligation. 

4. Other websites

Our website contains links to other websites. This Privacy Policy only applies to our website. If you access other websites via our links you should read their own privacy policies.

5. Access to your information

You have a right to access, modify and delete the personal information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email EventOrganiser@croxfest.co.uk.

6. Basis for processing your data and retention

Croxfest CIC considers that the lawful basis for processing your data is based on 

  • Legitimate interests
  • Performance of a contract
  • Consent  (consent will be relied on as a lawful basis in respect of processing data relating to children)

Unless otherwise required by law, your data will be stored for a period of one year after our last contact with you, at which point it will be deleted.

7. Protection  of personal information

Data storage: Is by way of an electronic media. This will normally be on a home computer system that has security software installed.
