The Swerves play modern music as if their lives depended on it. There are five of them, of differing shapes and sizes, and none of them are getting any younger. They set out with the intention of playing covers from the last ten years. Then they found out that the songs they liked were written twenty years ago. So they chucked them in as well.
Damo, Matt, Russ, Rupe and Danny are all Swerves. They only got together a year ago, so have mercy on their poor unrehearsed souls. Up til now the biggest gig they’ve played is one half of a pub, while the other half was watching the Olympics. They all come from Reading, apart from Danny. No-one knows where he comes from, but he’s got a van and he brings the average age way down, so he’s in.
