Cassio Productions returns to Watford Palace Theatre this November to present the riveting story of Argentina’s First Lady, Eva Peron. This thrilling musical stormed into London in 1978 and has been a favourite ever since.

Calendar Girls the musical

When a much loved husband and member of the community sadly passes away, a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute do an extraordinary thing. Throwing away all preconceptions of what it is to be part of a WI, they decide to do a nude calendar to raise money for charity.  However none of them expect the emotional and personal challenges that lie ahead, but gradually with the making of the fabulous and hilarious calendar each lady begins to blossom and bloom.

The true story of the Calendar Girls launched a global phenomenon, a million copycat calendars, a record breaking movie, stage play, and now this musical written by Tim Firth and Gary Barlow.  Never has a show had the ability to make you laugh and cry at the same time, or “craughing” as it’s now widely called, thanks to this show.
