The Wild Minds are an all girl alternative rock band from Watford. We are all only 13 years old, having been formed late May. Although we may be young, we have great interest in music and really enjoy performing.
We can be diverse in the genres we play but even so we still have influences such as Greenday, Fall Out Boy and 5 Seconds of Summer. The sort of pop rock music we all enjoy playing really helps for us to bring a new and exciting vibe to any stage.

Strange Folk evolved in Hertfordshire during 2002, and are currently based in Herts & Somerset. But there’s nothing strange about this band of three guys and one girl, or their music – a vibrant fusion of retro rock, folk and neo-gothic elements.
The band’s roots are in folk, and distinct rock aspirations are tempered by a recognisable folk vein running through their songs to varying degrees. Dark impressive vocals ride the crest of a truly great sound that transports the listener to another time – a time when long hair, beads and flares roamed the lands.

Gypsy rhythms meet New Orleans jazz meet Brit rock; this genre clash creates the curious sound of The Imaginary Hat. Formed in September 2014 in Guildford, our idea is to bring early jazz and swing styles into the 21st Century, creating rock songs with a vintage twist, and have been growing a large, varied repertoire ever since. Having gained a reputation for energetic live performances full of onstage antics and spontaneity, we’re currently performing as much as possible, with our debut EP, ‘Ladies And Gentlemen, Kindly Remove Your Hats’ now available.

A vibrant, high energy tribute to the classics of Mod, Ska and Two-Tone. Playing songs by The Who, The Specials, The Jam, Madness, The Small Faces… the list goes on.
With no samples or pre-recordings, everything is faithfully re-created live by 5 outstanding musicians with multi part harmonies for your listening and dancing pleasure.
The Ska Faces love what they do and so do the audience!

Billington and Quinn are a duo comprised of Tom Billington and Sinead Quinn who came together over a shared love of the Country and Americana music of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Pete Seeger, Billy Jo Sears, Neil Young and Tammy Wynette.
Individually they’ve been charting their own courses through the turbulent waters of the music scene for years. Tom trod the boards in Watford band Mohair for the best part of a decade, taking their brand of harmony soaked indie, pop, rock across the world and back. He has since released two acclaimed solo albums on his own record label. Meanwhile, Sinead wrestled the giant squid of the pop world in 2003 with no 2 hit song ‘I Can’t Break Down’ , launched by the good ship ‘Fame Academy’. Latterly, her band Sinead and The Dawnbreakers have enjoyed their rockabilly/country music gaining more exposure with performances on both Dermot O Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show and a television appearance on BBC1 Children In Need.
The Billington and Quinn band are made up of Paul Stewart and Ciaran Jerremiah (both of mega-pop band The Feeling) and the glorious pedal steel of Matt Park (The Mystery Jets). Stuart Wilkingson, from the Andy Burrows band (and, more recently of David Brent’s band ‘Forgone Conclusion’) on mandolin and vocals and the fabulous Sam Willcock on guitar.
Together they make a sound that is as old as the waves that carried their influences here but as fresh as the wind that caused them. It rolls and it rocks, it swings and it sings and is as honest as the day is long. Good things are always on the horizon.

Brocker are a three piece Punk N’ Roll band from St Albans. Their last album “Out Of Order” was released in 2013 and they’ve supported big acts like Chrissie Hynde, Slaves, Peter and The Test Tube Babies, Reincidentes (Spain), The Stanfields (Canada), TRC, to name a few.
Having played at legendary London venues like The Forum, The Underworld, Dingwalls or Monkey’s Music Club in Hamburg, the trio continue playing around the UK and Europe supporting their latest single “Gimme Gimme Rock N Roll”. which also received some press and radio play in the USA

The Soul Enforcement Bureau are a vibrant, visually exciting, hard-hitting, professional and highly-polished 8-piece Classic Soul Tribute Band that doesn’t so much play an ever-evolving mix of Motown, Stax, Atlantic Classic Soul hits from all the giant and great Soul legends… but we PERFORM them with conviction, dedication and a love for this genre.

Colvex are a 3 piece band from Watford that plays an eclectic mix of original material from alternative and heavy rock through to rockabilly and swing. Having released their début album on D-Classified Records in 2012 to great reviews, the band have toured extensively since — turning in electric performances at major events including the Cambridge Rock Festival, Music On The Moor and the Upton Festival, where they supported 80s legends Slade!
The band have earned themselves a deserved reputation as stunning live performers — notching up a nomination for Best Live Act at the 2010 Emerging Talent Awards — and are a thrilling addition to any festival line up.

While we don’t usually have the same band appear at Croxfest two years running, they were so good last year playing to a smaller crowd in the pouring rain we’ve invited them back so more of you can enjoy them.
With so many tribute acts and compilation albums using the same songs, you would be forgiven for thinking that there were only ever 40 tunes produced during the 80s. But anyone who was a child of that time will know that there were many more excellent songs written in that decade than those you tend to hear nowadays.
And that is why Hertfordshire based Our Friends Electric are different to other 80s bands. In a homage to the synthesiser, we specialise in playing those often-eclipsed tracks and seminal classics that no self-respecting 80s aficionado would not fail to recognise – those cult songs that could guarantee to fill the dance floor at any 6th form disco and that were such a REAL part of our growing up.
